ST BARNABAS’S Project

"St Barnabas" is a minimalist screen print project that explores the power of simplicity through a single-color, double-sided design. This piece features a carefully composed graphic printed on both the front and back, creating a balanced and cohesive visual narrative that invites viewers to engage with the garment (or object) from multiple angles.

The design draws inspiration from themes associated with St Barnabas—such as compassion, resilience, and community—and interprets them through bold lines, symbolic imagery, or text. By utilizing only one ink color, the focus remains on form, negative space, and the emotional resonance of the artwork, highlighting the timeless strength of monochromatic design.

Printed using traditional screen printing methods, the front and back alignment is intentional and precise, ensuring that the piece maintains aesthetic continuity while offering visual interest and meaning from every perspective. This project emphasizes the idea that less can be more—stripping away the excess to reveal something striking, clean, and deeply intentional.
